Fish Encyclopedia

Jorunna Funebris, common name the dotted nudibranch, is a large species of sea slug, a dorid nudibranch, a shell-less marine gastropod mollusc in the family Discodorididae.

This nudibranch is widespread in the Indo-Pacific region from the Red Sea and the Indian Ocean along the East African coast to Australia and New Caledonia.

On most of our dive sites, we can find Jorunna Funebris. Other species of sea slugs are also common in the Samui Archipelago. Ask your dive guide, whenever you dive with us around Koh Tao or at Sail Rock – he will assist you with identifying which kind of nudibranch you came across.
